REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Requirements:

 

  • Completely filled out an admission application form
  • Minimum secondary school scores 60% or it's equivalent
  • Original Secondary School Certificate or it's equivalent together with an English translation of the transcript and/or an ‘A’ Level Certification from the Ministry. Rules and regulations of HEC-Bahrain regarding the authentication of foreign certificates and/or private school certificates are to be applied when necessary
  • Four (4) recent passport-size photographs
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s passport and CPR (or equivalent)
  • Official Receipt of the non-refundable application fee
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character from the previous school
  • Student Medical Examination issued by a medical health center endorsed by MOE.

 

Fee Structure:

Application Fees BHD 25.000 (non-refundable, payable one time)
Registration Fee BHD 50.000 (non-refundable, payable every term)
Tuition Fee BHD 51.500 per credit unit (for new students beginning AY 2014-2015)
Thesis or Dissertation Fee BHD 750.000 (nonrefundable and paid upon registration of the Thesis course)
Graduation Fee BHD 150.000 (non-refundable, payable one time)

REQUIREMENTS FOR MBA PROGRAMME

Requirements:

 

  • Completely filled out the admissions application form
  • Original Secondary School Certificate or it's equivalent together with an English translation of the transcript and/or an ‘A’ Level Certification
  • Official Transcript of Records for Bachelor Degree or its equivalent, together with an English translation of the transcripts required. Rules and regulations of HEC-Bahrain regarding the authentication of foreign certificates and/or private school certificates are to be applied when necessary.
  • Four (4) recent passport-size photographs.
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s passport and/or CPR or at least 2 valid ID cards.
  • Official Receipt of the non-refundable application fee.
  • Student Medical Examination issued by a medical health center endorsed by MOE.

 

Fee Structure:

Application Fee BHD 25.000 (non-refundable, payable one time)
Registration Fee BHD 50.000 (non-refundable, payable every term)
Tuition Fee BHD 90.125 per credit unit (for new students beginning AY 2014-2015)

Requirements

 

  • Letter from the Parents or Guardian requesting for student sponsorship visa
  • Sponsored Student has to take full load every trimester term
  • Tuition Fee has to be paid in advance for the full School Year or equivalent to 3 terms or 1 year
  • Copy of Employment Certificate showing the Salary of the Parents or Guardian
  • Copy of Passport & residence permit of the Parents or Guardian
  • CPR Copy of the Parents or Guardian
  • Original Passport of the Student requesting for Sponsorship
  • Visa Processing Fees shall be borne by the Student
  • Submit all the requirements at the Admission Office personally by the Parents or Guardian

 

Special Need Applicants

“Attention from Admission Office for Special Need Applicants“

a. The student requesting special accommodation is required to submit his/her medical records.

b. Admission to the University shall be based on the availability of special equipment/facilities required by the student’s illness.  If these are not available and cannot be made available due to certain circumstances, the student is immediately informed prior to admission.

c. Students with special needs must confirm his/her disability in the admission application. If the student has not mentioned his/her disability, the University reserves the right to accept/deny his/her admissions as it sees fit based on the nature of the disability and the University’s existing support mechanisms.

d. If the request is made due to a physical disability, the Admissions Officer should make a report file for reference anytime by other concerned offices, a copy of the report should be forwarded to the guidance office for appropriate arrangement of required support needed.

e. The physical disability, which can be accepted in the university, includes: Student in a wheelchair and the like, epilepsy, Amputation in the foot, limping or asymmetric abnormality and like, dyslexia, minor speech problem, minor poor vision, and weakness in the muscles of the parties.

APPEAL SYSTEM FOR ACCESS AND TRANSFER FROM OTHER UNIVERSITY

Appeal System for Access:

1. An applicant may appeal the result of his/her admissions result to the University by submitting a letter of appeal to the Admissions Office.

2. The Admissions Officer discusses  the appeal with the Dean of Student Affairs and considers  the merits of the appeal based on the following:

 

  • results of AMA Placement Test (OOPT); and
  • Secondary School Report.

 

3.  The Dean of Student Affairs submits the recommendation to the College Dean who may request for an additional interview, if necessary.

4. The College Dean decides on the appeal with due regard to the recommendation of the Dean of Student Affairs.

5. The Admissions Officer advises the applicant about the result of the decision of his/her appeal. The Admissions Officer may advise the applicant to consider an alternative program of study other than the original choice.

Appeal System for Transfer of Credits from Other University:

1. An applicant whose application for transfer of credits from a previous university was denied may appeal the decision if he believes that there is a reasonable ground to appeal.

2. He/she must submit a letter of appeal to the Admissions Office.

3. The Admissions Office submits the appeal to the Deanship of Student Affairs.

4. The Dean of Student Affairs discusses the appeal with the concerned dean of the program where the transfer of credit was applied for.

5. The Admissions Office informs the applicant on the final decision of the appeal.
